President/Accuride Wheels Europe & Asia
Scott Hazlett has served as President/Accuride Wheels Europe & Asia since October 2017 and has responsibility for planning and leading Accuride’s expanding presence in Europe and Asia. In addition, Hazlett retains responsibility for Gianetti Ruote, Accuride’s majority-owned steel-wheel operation in Milan, Italy. He is a member of the Accuride Leadership Team and reports directly to Accuride President & CEO Rick Dauch. Gianetti Ruote Managing Director Giovanni Franchini reports directly to Hazlett.
Previously, Hazlett has served as President/Wheels, since November 2015 and had responsibility for growing Accuride’s Wheels business on a global basis and developing new wheel technologies. He led all Accuride Wheels operations in North America and Europe.
Hazlett previously served as Senior Vice President/Operations since September 2012. In that capacity, he was responsible for steel and aluminum wheel and wheel-end manufacturing and product management. He had matrix accountability for deploying product development and process engineering activities across all Wheels and Gunite manufacturing facilities. Hazlett joined the company in September 2011 as Senior Vice President, Accuride Wheels.
Hazlett is an accomplished senior executive with an excellent record of building, integrating and revitalizing a variety of business enterprises. He has broad-based and global industrial business management experience with demonstrated success in highly complex, challenging change environments. An inspirational leader, Hazlett has proven expertise in building and aligning effective management teams and creating efficient, high-performance organizations.
Prior to joining Accuride, Hazlett was President and CEO of Kansas City-based MachineryLink, Inc., an early-stage agricultural services platform. Prior to MachineryLink, Hazlett was a Partner with Conway Mackenzie & Dunleavy, a Detroit-based professional services and industrial turnaround firm, where he focused his energy on the firm’s interim management and operations practice.
He previously served as group president of TriMas Corporation’s Cequent transportation accessories unit, a $540 million global manufacturer, marketer and distributor of a wide range of highly-engineered metal fabricated, plastic and electrical products for consumer and commercial towing, trailering and cargo management markets. He earlier held multi-national division leadership roles with Case Corporation, CNH Global, and James River Corporation.
Preceding his corporate career, Hazlett served for 10 years in the U.S. Army as a Field Artillery Officer. His assignments included battery command with the 8th Infantry Division in Europe and subsequent appointment to the staff and faculty at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Hazlett holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a Master of Business Administration degree from Long Island University and a Master’s degree in education from Auburn University, and has completed the Executive Management Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
Senior Vice President/Sales & Marketing and Business Development
Chad Monroe has served as Senior Vice President/Sales & Marketing and Business Development since June 2017 and reports directly to Accuride President & CEO Rick Dauch. Monroe is responsible for all corporate Sales and Marketing activities in the global Truck and Trailer OEM and Aftermarket segments. He will work closely with the Accuride Executive Leadership team to support the continued expansion of Accuride’s Wheels, Gunite and KIC businesses. The Gianetti Ruote sales function reports directly to him.
Prior to this, Monroe served as Vice President/OEM Sales, Marketing and Business Development charged with expanding business with Accuride’s primary OEM customers in North America, Europe and on a global basis. Previously, Monroe led Accuride’s Investor Relations and Business Development functions. Since joining Accuride, he led the Company’s efforts to narrow its strategic focus and divest non-core businesses not aligned with that strategy. He also assisted in the re-listing of Accuride on the New York Stock Exchange in 2010.
He joined Accuride in May 2006 from Ford Motor Company, where he held a range of roles in pricing and financial analysis. He held several manufacturing finance roles and had pricing responsibility for various vehicle platforms.
Monroe earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Finance, and Master of Business Administration in Finance from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
Managing Director, Gianetti Ruote
Giovanni Franchini now serves as the Managing Director of Gianetti Ruote S.r.l.. In this capacity, he is responsible for all aspects of the Gianetti Ruote Operations and reports directly to Scott Hazlett, President/Accuride Wheels Europe & Asia. Prior to that, he served as the Operations Manager.
A seasoned, multi-faceted business leader, Giovanni joined Accuride from Cattini & Figlio, a manufacturer of gears for off-highway vehicles near Milan, where he served in both operations and commercial leadership roles. Earlier in his career, he held operations leadership, IT and finance roles with Thule S.P.A, Variati & Co. S.P.A and Lamberti S.P.A.
Giovanni earned his Industrial Engineering Degree at Politecnico of Milano and participated in Thule’s executive development program.
